WHAT?!

I just looked at my weather pixies and it is hotter here then in Arizona? What is up with that? 97 here and 91 there it makes no sense. Ok I know there was a storm last night and in 2 hours the temp. dropped 30 degrees, but that was last night. It is suppost to be cooler here. I...just don't get it. Enjoy the cooler weather, I'm sure it won't last too long.

No Church Sunday

This Sunday is the dedication of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. There are 2 sessions that will be broadcast to the stake canters here, one a 9 am and the other at 3 pm. To make this happen the First Presidency has cancelled church here. I can believe it but in the same instant I can't. When was the last time you can remember this happening? I can't think of a single one, but my mind and brain are not really on talking terms right now, so there might be one out there. We are really excited to go, this will be the second one we have been to. (We also went to the Draper Utah Temple dedication.) I'll wave my hankie for you.

Life

I have a ton of pictures but no usb cable. I am going nuts. In the past few months a lot has been going on. We have a HUGE garden in the back yard. Tons and tons of apricots and pears and apples. The big girls grew beets, the carrots didn't take, I don't understand what happened there. The little girls turned 2. Now I have 3,2 year olds, until Wes turns 3 in October. Dylan and Victoria flew to Arizona for a week and a half. We went camping for a week down by Manti, Ut. When we came home we found out we brought back a "friend". A squirrel had stowed away somewhere and was eating all the fruit in the trees. Ross, Dylan and Victoria all go back to school on the 24 of Aug. Wes has become addicted to hats, I don't get it he has to have one on all the time. I have even found him sleeping with one on? Wes went Home Teaching with my dad when his companion couldn't go. He was sooo excited. I still have no idea why I'm in constant pain, the cystes are gone but the pain remains, I just don't understand.
That's what is going on here. Let us know if you come to Utah we would love to see you. When i find a usb cable you will have pictures.

The girls and karate

The girls decided that they wanted to take karate and cheer leading. I only have pictures of karate. Victoria was worried about taking karate. She said, "Mom, what if I'm really good and I kick Dylan in the head." She was so worried that I couldn't laugh, I wanted to but I didn't.

This Is The Place

My dad drives school bus and goes on field trips all the time. We meet him at several of the to see the sites. We went with him to This Is The Place Heritage Park. As we were on our way there I was telling Victoria how the pioneers knew where they were going. I told her about Brigham Young having a dream about where they were going. Well this is how the story was told later to Ross. She told him how the pioneers came here to This Is The Place and Jesus told them that this is where the Olympics should come.? Don't ask me I don't know, but we all sure got a good laugh.

The Church History Museum

We went to The Church History Museum and the kids loved it. They got to pretend that they were speaking from the pulpit in The Tabernacle. Dylan was at the pulpit at The Conference Center. The little ones loved the Primary part. They all colored papers that looked like stain glass windows, got dressed up in clothes from the time Jesus was born and the 3 little ones loved the babies. not a bad way to spend a day.

The Polls Are In.

The polls are in and most of you are right. I do not have a tattoo. The weird thing is I always wanted one but had a HUGE fear of needles. That fear disappeared when I had kids. But I don't have a tattoo. I do have 8 ear piercings and REALLY want a Fat Boy. I only wear earrings in one hole and don't have a Fat Boy....YET...one day I will.

Alive, or something like that.

We went to the open house for the Draper Temple on Jan. 31st and the kids loved it. Paige really loved the Celestial Room, she did not want to leave the room. We learned that the Draper Temple has the Worlds Biggest Sealing Room. It holds up to 80 people and I'm sure more could easily fit in there. On Sunday Ross, my dad and myself went to the dedication of the Draper Temple. My mom stayed home with the kids. Now we can go to the Draper Temple, if we can get an appointment. Soooooo cool.
http://drapertemple.blogspot.com/
On Sat. it was 70 degrees here and now there is a lot of heavy snow. There is 5 inches out there right now, I just took this picture.

I couldn't decide which picture to use so you get them all.
Yes I'm still wearing my flip flops....everywhere.......in the snow it doesn't matter.

Dylan is getting braces on Wed. Well not really braces, she is getting a Dewey Appliance. It is like a retainer but straightens teeth. She is loving school and LOVES the snow.
Victoria is upset that we could not find her a pre-school and really misses Getz and Escalante. She has fallen in LOVE with Scooby-Doo and wants to watch it all the time, she is watching it right now as I am typing.
Wes loves to help grandpa outside. He loves outside, you turn around and he has opened the door and is out.
Paige has taken a long time to really warm up to the change. She loves my brother and if he is here she is usually on his lap.
Piper is Piper. Her asthma was doing great until late last week. We haven't been giving her breathing treatments at all until last week. She sits with my mom and they do the treatment together.
Right after we moved in our stake and ward went though a lot of changes. Our stake got a few new wards from another stake and the all the wards were reorganized. So there were a lot of changes in all the organizations. There were also a lot of hurt feelings and upset people, but things are much better now.
Ross is working for Jordan School District in the mornings and attending U of U at night. We get to see him a little more then we used to. He was just called to be the Sunday School Pres. Lucky for him the previous Pres. filled all the callings and got all the classed in order so he doesn't have to worry about much. Thanks Dad. My dad was the Sunday School Pres. now he is the High Priest Group Leader.
As for me....life is good. I was called as a Gospel Doctrine teacher, thanks Dad, and I love it. When Ross was called to be Pres. he said,"I guess I'm in charge of you now." I just let him believe whatever he wants to.
So there you have it. We are all alive and well. Sorry it has been so long I just get lost in our lives and I couldn't find my USB cable. I promise to do better in the future.

How well do we know each other?

So now that I have moved I have begun to remember the qualities that all my friends in Arizona have and want to find new friends here that have the same or similar qualities. In my Arizona ward there were several young families and lots of kids, in my new Utah ward there are not very many kids, I felt like it was a singles ward on Sunday it was so quiet. In my new ward most of the people are my mom's age, I felt like my kids were the atomic bomb going off in church, not that they were louder here, it's just that there are NO little kids. I began to wonder about all the older ladies and wonder what they were like. I wondered if they had some of those qualities I was looking for? I know they do, but then my crazy mind began to wonder and wounder about how well I knew all of my friends back in Arizona and how well they really knew me. So, I propose a game for everyone and anyone who wants to play. Post a poll on the side of your blog with 3 things about you make 2 the truth and 1 a lie give people a few days then admit to the lie and see how everyone does. Here is mine see how you do, and have fun.
