CERT

So our stake is setting up an emergency response system and since I don't have enough to do I signed up to help be in charge. For the last 3 Saturdays I have been doing CERT training. http://www.citizencorps.gov/cert/
We learned a lot of cool things, like how to do search and rescue, evacuation and the way to set up the leadership to orginize everything. So now I can come and rescue you if you have an earthquake or something along those lines. When Herriman was set on fire their CERT team went into action. Here is an article about a CERT team member, also a patient at my mom's work, he's a riot. http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/lifestyle/50328597-80/cert-herriman-kirby-official.html.csp

BIRTHDAY

So as many of you know today is mine and Dylan’s birthday, she is now 9 and I am still 24. She was born the day the Diamondbacks won the World Series, the year on 9/11. When 9/11 happened I really had this strong feeling of why people were bringing children into this crazy world. The world seemed so crazy, well 9 years later it is still a crazy world and I have 4 more children to wonder about.  I have watched as Dylan has grown and seen The Lord’s plan for her. I have seen how her strong, fighting, fierce, understanding, wild spirit has taken shape to deal with the onslaught the world has to offer her generation. I have often wondered
if this world can withstand the force of goodness she is just barely coming to understand she has, or if the world will fight to bring her down? I know the world will fight her, but I believe that she was sent to me so I could pass on the strength I have been given by my mother to her and her sisters. They will need this strength to make it in the world today and tomorrow. The fight she will face, she will not face alone. She will have the past generations of strong women to help her along the way. Her great-grandma Garrett, who raised 10 kids and was married during WWII, her grandma Gibbons who was raised in a family of 10 and was in the middle of 6 boys, three older three younger, and me  who has shown her that education can change everything and The Lord will make it all possible. She has learned that no matter what stick to your guns, and then the going gets tough, the tough get going, so pull your butt up off the ground and get going.  Happy Birthday Dylan!
If this didn't make you cry, let me know and I will try harder next time. It made me cry.

Sick, sick and more sick!

So it all started with a 24 hour throwing up session with Paige and then Piper. When that was over Wes got bronchiolitis Sunday complete with a hospital visit! Then he gave it to me and then Piper. Victoria got the 24 hour crap and I want to scream. I'm still sick and everyone else is getting better. Maybe it's because I'm too stressed with school and sick kids! They say "This too shall pass" I want to know who "they" are and kick their butts, beacuse from where I'm standing this is never going to be over! Have a great day, some one should! Oh, yea I forgot to tell you I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure, gee I wonder why? AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

So here's the deal, with all of my wonderful medical problems and Wes, Paige and Piper all in Head Start and Victoria going to a new school, I'm TIRED.

I was scheduled for a hysterectomy, but my insurance would not pay for it, so I am now on Ross' insurance and haveto start over with a new OB and let's just say I have had it and want to have
no more pain and I never want to bleed again, but I have to wait and have and see what he wants to do.

Wes is in half a day Head Start 4 days a week and LOVES it. He will be 4 on the 14th and he is lucky
he is still alive, he makes me crazy. He took the chain saw out of the shed and wanted to cut trees, there was not a chain on it, or gas in it, thank Heaven.

Victoria is in a duel emersion program at her new school. Half of her day is in English and the
other Half is solely in Chinese, yes Chinese. She sings Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes in Chinese and confuses the twins. She also now sings Happy Birthday in Chinese.

Paige and Piper in the Home Base program in Head Start, so their teacher comes to the house once a
week and then they go to the school twice a month to be with the other kids in home base. They are three and they always make me laugh.

Dylan is in 4th grade and loves that her teacher is from Arizona. She loves going to activity days with all the girls in the ward. She will be in November and I cannot believe it at all.

Ross has changed majors so he can finish faster, but it’s not fast enough for me. His is now the Lead Custodian at the new high school here in the valley, so he’s almost the boss.

Me, well I started school back in January at DeVry.  I attend one class a session on site and do one online. The classes are only 8 weeks so they go fast and I finish faster I already have 34 credits.

We are just plugging along and what else can I say?

Ahhh HI!

I know it has been a long time, but my life and the life of my family has been out of control. In the past 2 months we have lived at Primary Childrren's Hospital. Piper was admitted for 5 days beacuse of her asthma, 2 1/2 weeks alter Victoria had emergency sugery, she has a 7cm x 4cm tumor on her right overy, and 2 weeks after that Wes fell out of my dad's truck, no it was not moving, and broke his heel bone on his left foot. Added to all of this I went back to school at the beginning of the year. Paige and Dylan are th only ones that have not been to the hospital, for now.
Congrats to all of you having babies, which seems like most of you. Remind me not to drink the water down there.
I miss you all and will try to post some pictures of all my crazy monsters soon.
Love you all,
Geniel
