This Sunday is the dedication of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. There are 2 sessions that will be broadcast to the stake canters here, one a 9 am and the other at 3 pm. To make this happen the First Presidency has cancelled church here. I can believe it but in the same instant I can't. When was the last time you can remember this happening? I can't think of a single one, but my mind and brain are not really on talking terms right now, so there might be one out there. We are really excited to go, this will be the second one we have been to. (We also went to the Draper Utah Temple dedication.) I'll wave my hankie for you.

If you live where there are blizzards they cancel church a lot. And when we had floods in Missouri, we would leave right after sacrament meeting to help with the sandbagging efforts. A temple dedication is a wonderful way to spend a Sunday.
I wanna miss church for a temple dedication. That would be awesome!
It's nice to have a break sometimes.
