Names

My lost in Utah friend Kelli did a blog on names and had inspired me to do the same. It's simple, just tell us how you, and your kids got their names.
Geniel- The way my dad tells it is the name came for his crazy aunt. She currently spends her summers in Alaska on a fishing and hunting barge her son owns. She used to be an EMT for white water rescues.
Dylan Nicole- Ross and I have different opinions on her first name. I just liked the fact it was different. Nicole came from Ross' best friend from high school, she goes by Nicki.
Victoria Rose- Victoria from my other lost friend in Utah, and it's so elegant. Rose from Ross' grandmother. Her saying is, "You can always use a little Rosie in your life."
Wes Hamblin- Ross' grandpa was Joseph Wesley, but everyone always called him Wes. My grandpa's middle name was Hamblin, we are descendants of Jacob Hamblin. I also learned that the little boy my parents lost, his middle name was Hamblin, for the same reason.
Paige MacKenzie- I have always loved the name Paige. Ross said no to the other two girls, but yes to the third. MacKenzie was the only name I thought fit really well with Paige. I was really upset that there was no family tie to her name, until I checked the meaning of MacKenzie, it means, "child of Kenneth". My dad's middle name is Kenneth. Side note at a recent family wedding we found out that one of Dave's cousins, granddaughter's name is MacKenzie Paige.
Piper Grace- Dylan named Piper. When we only thought we were having one baby, she knew we were having a girl, she kept saying, "When Piper comes out....." and I would say, "Her name is Paige." This went on until we found out there were two. We only knew the sex of one of them, so I told Ross if the other one was a girl we should name her Piper, since Dylan was already calling her that. Grace was the name of the grandmother my dad remembers.
So there you have it. The stories behind our names.

You didn't explain Ross' name! I know the story, but do others?
